This year's International Friends Church Multiplication Conference on November 13-15, 2024, will be held both online and in-person at three locations across the United States. This is a first for us, and we know the importance of the foundation of prayer.
As November edges closer, we are forming a strategic Multiplication Prayer Team: MPT24.
It's not just about logistics. It's about tapping into God's bigger picture for what this conference might be the start of. Let's explore together how strategic prayer will shape this conference's landscape with expectation.
strategic prayer
We believe an enemy exists who employs strategic methods to destroy God's mission. But we know the end of the story and who wins!
Together with the Holy Spirit, we will use strategic prayer to stand firm against these attacks and usher in the Spirit of God, specifically as it relates to IFCMC, EFCP, and the greater Worldwide Church Multiplication Movement.
Soil
Pray for God to prepare the fields for harvest.
"Then he told them many things in parables, saying: 'A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.'" Matthew 13:3-8
sowers
Pray for God to call and equip sowers to plant seeds in the fields for harvest.
"Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'” Matthew 9:36-39
support
Pray for God to supply all the spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, and financial needs of those who serve.
"Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." 2 Corinthians 9:10-11
structure
Pray for God to provide everything required to successfully achieve a powerful Worldwide Church Multiplication Conference and a vigorous, Holy Spirit-filled, and unstoppable Worldwide Church Multiplication Movement.
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'" Romans 10: 14-15
the prayer schedule
Over the next four months, you will receive an update in your inbox about the conference details and our strategic prayer focus.
Beginning in September, you will have the option to join a weekly prayer meeting via Zoom as we prepare for the conference.
During the conference, we hope both online and in-person prayer teams will cover the work being done with God's Spirit and protection from the enemy.
We will gather for one final prayer meeting the week after the conference to share praises and lift up the movement that has been sparked.
Today's Prayer
Father,
You are holy. We are humbly before you as we look out over the next seven months until the International Friends Church Multiplication Conference for 2024. We ask this would be a spark of the greater movement we know you are calling us into.
We pray for you to prepare the harvest fields. We pray for the seed sowers as you prepare them for the work ahead of them. We pray for the spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, and financial needs of those who serve. We pray for the structure you are putting in place for the greater Worldwide Church Multiplication Movement.
Make clear the next steps for us to take, both personally and corporately.
